This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and process, why we process it, how we protect it, when it may be shared, how long it may be retained, and the rights available to individuals and customers.
This Privacy Policy applies to visitors to our website, users of the AdHelp.io platform, customers who connect third-party services to AdHelp, and, where relevant, personal data processed by AdHelp.io on behalf of those customers.

1. Our Role in Processing Personal Data
Depending on the context, AdHelp.io may act either as a data controller or as a data processor.
When we collect information directly from users of AdHelp.io, for example account details, communications, billing information, or website usage information, AdHelp.io generally determines the purposes and means of processing and acts as a data controller.
When a customer connects a third-party service or uploads data to AdHelp.io and instructs us to process that data as part of the Services, AdHelp.io generally processes that data on behalf of the customer. In those circumstances, the customer determines the purposes for which its data is processed, subject to the functionality of the AdHelp.io Services, and AdHelp.io generally acts as a data processor or service provider.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the rights and lawful basis necessary to provide personal data to AdHelp.io and to instruct AdHelp.io to process it.

The availability of integrations may change over time as AdHelp.io adds, updates, or removes supported data sources.
When a customer connects to a third-party platform, AdHelp.io accesses only the data authorized through the permissions granted for that connection and required to provide the functionality selected by the customer.

AdHelp.io does not use a connected platform to obtain information unrelated to the Services requested by the customer.
Authentication and Connection Credentials
Where a connected platform uses OAuth or another authorization mechanism, AdHelp.io may process access tokens, refresh tokens, API credentials, account identifiers, granted permission scopes, and related authentication information necessary to establish and maintain the connection.
These credentials are used only to authenticate AdHelp.io to the relevant third-party platform and provide the authorized Services. Access to authentication credentials is restricted and protected using appropriate technical and organizational security controls.
Google Services
Where authorized by a customer, AdHelp.io may access information from Google services including:

Google Ads, to retrieve advertising account information, campaign data, performance metrics, and other information required for advertising reporting, analysis, and authorized account functionality

Google Analytics, to retrieve analytics, event, conversion, and related measurement information

Google Merchant Center, to retrieve and process product, inventory, feed, and related commerce information

Google Tag Manager, where required for tag, measurement, and event-related functionality

Google data is processed according to the permissions granted by the customer and applicable Google API terms and policies.
Advertising Platform Integrations
Where authorized by a customer, AdHelp.io may connect to advertising platforms including Meta Ads, Microsoft Advertising (Bing), TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, and Snapchat Ads.
Depending on the platform and permissions granted, AdHelp.io may process information such as:

This information is used to provide data management, reporting, analytics, feed-management, advertising-performance analysis, and other functionality requested by the customer. AdHelp.io does not independently use customer-connected advertising data to advertise to individuals on behalf of AdHelp.
Customer-Provided Files, Feeds, and Data Sources
Customers may provide or connect data through spreadsheets, feeds, URLs, APIs, structured files, or other supported sources. This may include formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, spreadsheets, and similar structured business data.
The nature and contents of this information are determined by the customer. Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and lawful basis to provide such information to AdHelp. AdHelp.io processes this information according to the customer's instructions and the functionality selected within the Services.
3. Shopify Store Integration
Because Shopify integrations may involve information relating to a merchant's customers, Shopify data is subject to additional data-minimization and privacy protections.
When a merchant connects a Shopify store to AdHelp, we may access and process Shopify data required to provide e-commerce, feed-management, data-management, and advertising-analytics functionality.

Data minimizationFor the Shopify analytics functionality described in this Policy, AdHelp.io does not require customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, full street addresses, or postal codes. AdHelp.io seeks to process only the customer-related information reasonably necessary to provide the requested merchant-facing functionality.
4. How We Use Shopify Customer-Related Data
Shopify customer-related information is processed to provide analytics and reporting to the merchant whose Shopify store is connected to AdHelp.io.
Geographic Sales Analysis
The shipping country associated with an order may be used to aggregate orders, revenue, returns, and related sales performance by country or market. This enables merchants to identify markets generating higher or lower sales and to evaluate advertising and commercial performance geographically. AdHelp.io does not require a customer's full postal address for this purpose.
New and Returning Customer Analysis
Customer identifiers and order history may be used to determine whether purchases are associated with new or returning customers and to compare advertising and sales performance between these segments.
Customer Value Analysis
Order and purchase history may be used to calculate aggregated metrics relating to customer value, repeat purchases, purchase frequency, and similar merchant analytics.
Merchant-Defined Customer Segmentation
Where merchants use customer tags or similar Shopify classifications, those values may be used to create aggregated reporting or segmentation relevant to the merchant's business.
Advertising Performance Analysis
Shopify order, product, customer-segment, and geographic information may be combined with advertising-performance information from connected advertising platforms to help merchants understand the commercial results associated with their advertising activity.
For example, a merchant may use AdHelp.io to compare advertising spend from a connected advertising platform with Shopify orders and revenue by market, customer segment, product, or other relevant business dimension.
Shopify customer-related data is not used by AdHelp.io to contact the merchant's customers directly. AdHelp.io does not sell Shopify customer data or disclose Shopify customer data to advertisers for their own independent marketing purposes.
5. Aggregation and Access to Customer Data
Customer-related Shopify data may be processed in AdHelp's backend systems where necessary to generate analytics, reports, data flows, and other functionality requested by the merchant.
Where customer-level information is used to generate analytics, AdHelp.io seeks to present the resulting information through merchant-facing reporting and data-management functionality rather than providing AdHelp.io users with a standalone customer-list database for direct marketing.
Access to systems containing customer-related information is restricted to authorized personnel and service providers where reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, or support the Services.
6. How We Use Information
Depending on the context, we may use information processed through the Services to:

Data obtained through a connected platform is also subject to the applicable permissions, contractual requirements, and policies of that platform.
7. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), UK GDPR, or similar laws apply and AdHelp.io acts as a data controller, we process personal data where an appropriate legal basis exists.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

Where AdHelp.io processes personal data on behalf of a customer, the customer is responsible for establishing the appropriate lawful basis for that processing and providing any notices or obtaining any permissions or consents required by applicable law.

AdHelp.io does not sell personal data obtained through customer-connected services.

If AdHelp.io is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and data-protection requirements.
9. International Data Transfers
AdHelp.io and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which the relevant customer or individual is located.
Where personal data protected by the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar legislation is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards where required. Depending on the circumstances, these safeguards may include adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, equivalent contractual mechanisms, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

We maintain technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to provide the Services requested by customers, and to meet applicable contractual, legal, security, accounting, and compliance obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the connected service, the customer's configuration, whether an account or integration remains active, and applicable legal requirements.
For connected data sources such as Shopify, data may be retained while the relevant connection or service remains active where the information is necessary to provide historical reporting, analytics, synchronization, or other functionality requested by the customer.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, aggregate, anonymize, or otherwise de-identify it in accordance with our retention procedures and applicable law.
Where a customer disconnects a data source, terminates the relevant service, requests deletion, or where a deletion request is received from the originating platform, applicable data will be deleted, anonymized, or otherwise handled in accordance with the relevant contractual, legal, and platform requirements.
Some information may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or logs until those systems are overwritten or expire through their normal retention cycles, unless earlier deletion is technically and legally required.
12. Shopify Privacy Requests and Data Deletion
AdHelp.io supports Shopify's required privacy and compliance processes. Shopify may send AdHelp.io privacy requests relating to merchants and their customers, including:

customers/data_request, relating to a customer's request to access personal data

customers/redact, relating to deletion or redaction of a customer's personal data
-
shop/redact, relating to deletion of store data following uninstallation of the AdHelp.io Shopify app
When AdHelp.io receives a valid Shopify compliance request, we verify the request and process the applicable information in accordance with Shopify's requirements and applicable data-protection law.
For a valid customer data request, AdHelp.io will identify and provide or otherwise make available the applicable information required to support the merchant's response.
For a valid customer redaction request, AdHelp.io will delete, anonymize, or otherwise redact applicable customer personal data, subject to any lawful retention requirement.
Following a valid shop/redact request, AdHelp.io will delete or anonymize applicable Shopify store and customer data associated with that installation within the timeframe required by Shopify and applicable law, unless retention is legally required.
Disconnecting or uninstalling a Shopify integration stops future data synchronization once AdHelp.io has received and processed the applicable disconnection or revocation event.
13. Merchant Responsibilities for Connected Data
Customers who connect Shopify or another third-party service to AdHelp.io are responsible for:

Having authority to connect the relevant account, store, or data source

Providing any notices required by applicable privacy law

Establishing an appropriate lawful basis for processing personal data

Obtaining consent where consent is legally required

Respecting applicable customer or consumer privacy rights

Using information obtained through AdHelp.io in accordance with applicable law and the customer's agreements with the originating platform
AdHelp.io will reasonably cooperate with customers where necessary to facilitate applicable data-subject requests relating to information processed on their behalf.

Like most online services, AdHelp.io automatically collects certain technical information when users access our website or platform. This may include:

AdHelp.io integrates with third-party platforms and services. Your use of those services remains subject to the terms, privacy policies, and other rules of the applicable third party.
AdHelp.io is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party platforms outside the processing performed by AdHelp.io as part of the Services. Customers should review the privacy documentation and permissions associated with any third-party service they choose to connect to AdHelp.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal data. These may include the right to:

20. Children's Privacy
The AdHelp.io Services are intended for businesses and professional users and are not directed to children.
AdHelp.io does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through account registration or marketing activities. If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to AdHelp.io contrary to this Policy, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
This section does not prevent AdHelp.io from processing data on behalf of a customer where the customer lawfully provides such data through a connected service and AdHelp.io acts solely as the customer's processor.
21. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our Services, integrations, processing activities, legal requirements, or security practices.
When material changes are made, we will update the effective date of this Policy and provide additional notice where required by applicable law or where appropriate based on the nature of the change.
Continued use of the Services following an update is subject to the updated Policy, except where applicable law requires additional consent or another legal basis.
